Moonsoon Celebration

Our Dignity Lifestyle Township is surrounded with hills. In summer these hills remain dull, dry and brown. But as Rains start, these hills become wet and green. This is the best time here; you can see waterfalls and peacocks near lush green bushes at hills. This is the reason that the residents of DLT always welcome rains in very unique way. This year we had progamme called ' Chhayi Barkha Bahar' on July 20,2010. The day prior to program, Mehandi was applied on hands of residents (of course ladies only).

The programme was based on filmy songs, folk songs, poems and gazals related to monsoon. The programme was presented by Madhuri Shah( songs) , Chandrika Shah (gazals), Meera Bhawanani( song) Mani Bharucha ( Marathi Peom), Anu Ghosh ( English poem), Ashok Lulla( mouth-organ)- only man participant among the women- and Usha Mantri( hindi folk). Hemlata Parekh choreographed and presented a beautifull dance of school going children from Neral based Gujarati rhymes . From staff Kailash Deshmukh sung a marathi song. Ravi Hillal played Tabla with singers. The guests of a resident liked the programme and praised the enthusiasm of singers. Even one of them, Sudarshana Dwivedi couldn't control herself and sung a folk song of U P.

Inter generational activity:

Students form Jai Hind College had conducted games and quiz programme for residents

Diwali celebration:

With great pleasure and happiness Dignity Lifestyle residents celebrated Diwali on 29 th October .The programme started with a game called "Bonding with each other". Different colour chords were held by each resident, they had to hold the chord and cross to the other side and wish a happy diwali to the opposite resident this in turn gave rise to a unique design formation. This game was intended to prove that together we stand and divided we fall.

An instrumental concert was planned for the residents. Old classical songs were played on the harmonium, flute, tabla and sitar.Pandit Prakash Chitnis was on harmonium, Mr. Charudatta Naigaonkar on Sitar, Mr. Ajay Damle on Tabla and Mr. Subash Shah on Flute.
